Local calculator inputs

The calculators run in your browser. Tank measurements, personal electricity rates and purchase amounts are not submitted to a server or included in share links. There are no accounts or tank profiles shared between devices.

Site measurement

We use Plausible and Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful. Measurement includes page visits and actions such as using a tool or following a product link.

Tool events use fixed action categories. They do not include tank measurements, personal electricity rates, purchase amounts or contact messages.

Google Analytics is configured with analytics and advertising storage denied. This still allows measurement requests. Google receives connection information, such as your IP address and browser details. We send Google the page address without its query string, fragment or referring address.

Plausible provides aggregate reports about page visits, referring pages, time spent and scrolling. We send it the page address without its query string or fragment. Its service also receives your referring address, IP address and browser details.

Cookies, and visitors in the EEA and the UK

This site sets no cookies of its own. The calculators and the tank checklists keep what you enter in the page or in your own browser; nothing you type leaves the device.

Google Analytics runs with analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation all set to denied before it starts, so it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing back. That is why there is no consent banner: there is no storage to consent to. Plausible sets no cookies at all and does not follow you between sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the measurement above is aggregate counting. We hold no account, no profile and nothing that identifies you, so there is no profile to export, correct or delete. Use the contact page for any privacy question.

Third parties that can receive request data when you use this site: Google Analytics and Plausible as described above, Amazon when a product photograph loads or you follow a retailer link, and the manufacturer whose page you open from a source link. If a display advertising network is added later, this page will name it and describe its consent mechanism before the first advertisement appears.

Retailer links

Retailer links on this site are affiliate links: they carry a tracking code so the retailer can attribute the referral and pay us a commission. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. It costs you nothing extra and it changes no recommendation here.

Amazon product photographs load directly from Amazon and link back to that product’s own Amazon page, as the programme requires. Amazon receives your IP address and normal browser information when a photograph loads.

External links and product images

Manufacturer and merchant links open external websites whose own privacy rules apply. When a licensed Amazon image is displayed, your browser requests the image from Amazon’s image service. Amazon receives the connection information needed to serve an image, including your IP address.

Contact delivery is turned off. This site does not send contact messages.
