Aqueon Preset Heater 150 W

Aqueon rates it for aquariums up to 55 US gal; preset to 78°F.

Aqueon’s fully submersible heater, preset at the factory to 78 °F, which Aqueon gives as accurate to within 1 °F. Shatter-resistant quartz glass, an automatic safety shut-off against overheating, and a light that glows red while it heats. It mounts with suction cups, upright or lying down.

Consider: Preset to 78 °F with nothing to set: right for most tropical fish, too warm for goldfish and other cool-water fish. Choose an adjustable heater if yours need a different temperature.

Plan for the routine work

  • The red light shows when it is heating; if the water stays cold with the light on, check your room against Aqueon’s wattage chart.
  • Unplug it and let it cool before you take it out of the water.
