Aqueon Submersible Glass Heater 200 W
Aqueon rates it for aquariums up to 75 US gal; adjustable from 68 to 88 °F.
Aqueon’s adjustable submersible heater in shatter-resistant quartz glass, with an electronic thermostat that stops heating at the temperature you set, from 68 to 88 °F in 1 °F steps. It switches itself off if it overheats or isn’t covered by water, and resets once it cools; a light shows while it heats. A 6 ft cord; for fresh or salt water, upright or lying down.
Consider: Set it anywhere from 68 to 88 °F, a degree at a time. At 13 in long, check it fits upright below your water line, or lay it on its side.

Plan for the routine work
- If it stops heating after running dry or too hot, let it cool in the water: Aqueon says it resets itself.
- Unplug it and let it cool before you take it out of the water.
To budget for replacement media and supplies, use the first-year cost calculator. For how often and how to clean it, follow the maker’s manual.
