Aqueon Aquatic Flat Heater 15 W
Aqueon rates it for aquariums of 5–10 US gal; warms the water up to 6 °F above the room.
Aqueon’s small flat heater for desktop tanks, fully submersible and shatterproof, for glass or acrylic. It sticks to the bottom or a side wall with suction cups. Aqueon names no thermostat or setting: it warms the water up to 6 °F above the room.
Consider: Small and flat, with no temperature to set: it adds up to 6 °F to the room, so a 78 °F tank needs a room of 72 °F or warmer, day and night.

Before choosing this model
- Check your room: the water ends up about 6 °F warmer than the room at most, so a cold night means cold water. Aqueon’s product page says 4 to 10 gallons; we list the 5 to 10 its catalog gives.
- Never leave it plugged in out of the water, as Aqueon warns.
What Aqueon doesn’t publish
- Aqueon gives no temperature setting, only the 6 °F it adds to the room, and no voltage.
