12¾ in tallHow to grow monte carlo
Monte Carlo forms a bright green carpet of round leaves. It needs medium light, a nutrient substrate and ideally CO₂; fish that dig uproot it before it roots.
Common problems
- Floating pieces: plant deeper or start the tank dry so roots grip first.
- Carpet lifting off the substrate as it thickens; trim it back hard.
Light for monte carlo
Medium-light plants grow best under a planted-tank LED that spans the tank. Check the mounting length against your tank before buying: how to fit a planted light.
