12¾ in tallHow to grow java moss
Java moss grows almost anywhere: low light, no CO₂, a wide temperature range. Shrimp graze it and fry hide in it. Keep it thin and trimmed so the inside of the clump gets light and water flow.
Common problems
- Thick clumps trap debris and brown inside; thin them and rinse in tank water.
- Hair algae tangles into it; remove strands by hand and cut back the light.
