12¾ in tallHow to grow cryptocoryne wendtii
Crypt wendtii comes in green, brown and red forms and grows in low light without CO₂. It feeds through its roots, so a nutrient substrate or root tabs every few months keep it growing. Once settled, leave it in place: moving it causes melt.
Common problems
- Crypt melt: leaves dissolve after planting or a big change in water. Leave the roots in place; new leaves usually follow in weeks.
